Visiting Scott's Resting Place

Sarah had planned to go out and put up Christmas flowers on the grave markers after Thanksgiving.  But I insisted that I would like to do it since I was not able to come to Scott's funeral.  So Tuesday was a beautiful day and it was a georgeous drive out to the cemetery where we made little trees and decorated them with poinsettias.    The ground is hilly and I hated for Sarah to come out alone to do this so we were the first Christmas flowers in the area -- before Thanksgiving had arrived.  It was a good thing Ken was with us as we needed some 'man muscle' to get Phyllis Jean's vase unlocked.     The photo above was taken at our last  Family Reunion three years ago,  in Tennessee when Scott was 84 years old.
