Moving along -- from Maryland to North Carolina

Wednesday, November 18, 2009.

After have a leisurely breakfast with Sarah and packing up again, we left later in the morning to head South toward  North Carolina.

Leaving Ellicott City, we by-passed Washington DC on 495 and across highway 66 to 81 South.    I have not found pictures of that drive yet, so perhaps that  was not as memorable drive.     However, Virginia is a beautiful state and a wonderful drive.  It runs along the Blue Ridge Parkway which Sarah informed me if we took, we would never get there.  So 81 south took us past Harrisonburg,  and past Roanoke and past Wytheville.    We were so close to the 'Ole Home Place and to Princeton, but did not take the time to visit those places this trip.

I don't see any photos taken on the drive from Maryland to Asheville.   I know we planned it to arrive in the evening without interrupting Sommer Cooking Class.  When we arrived, we went upstairs and played with the grandchildren until the Cooking students were all gone.

On Thursday morning, Carson had a Thanksgiving day program at his school with a full Thanksgiving day Lunch.   The children were so adorable.     Also, this was the first time they had met Babe.  Kona was very excited about Babe as well.
