I think we were having such a good time just being with Sarah that we forgot to take very many photos on Monday. Sarah was planning to spend a month with her son, Bob in Wyoming and wanted to go to the AAA to make the travel arrangements. She directed us that morning to where she remembered the AAA office was but it had moved. I made a phone call and with the help of our GPS, we found the new office. The lady was so very helpful and got her a good price for travel on three different airlines, flying out of Balitmore on December 9, 2009 to Denver, where Bob will pick her up and then after Christmas return her to Denver where she will fly to Tulsa on January 4th. Sarah will be spending 10 days in Oklahoma before she returns to her home in Ellicott City. I am sure by that time she will be so happy to sleep in her own bed again.
That evening we were going to have dinner at the Crab Shanty, where Sarah and Scott first treated all of us at their 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration back in 1997. The Crab Shanty was never Sarah's favorite place as she does not care for seafood, but it was Scotts favorite. They have the best Maryland Crab Cakes I have ever tasted in my entire life.
I asked Sarah if it would make her more sad to eat there since she had just recently lost her beloved husband, Scott. She thought for a minute and said "No, not if I am going with you." So that is where we ate that evening. Sarah had chicken and Ken and I enjoyed the crab cakes. We forgot to take photos but I did have my cell phone so did a shot of the firecracker appetizer.
