Three Days with Sarah in Ellicott City

We rolled into Ellicott City on Sunday evening probably around 6:00 pm.  We originally had thought we would arrive by early afternoon, but I had miscalculated.  It was so good to be there to to see our sister, Sarah.    She had prepared a delicious meal for us and we ate like hungry pigs.
It is fall and we had missed the color of the leaves but the view from the kitchen and dining room window is still so lovely that I had to take lots of photos.

I did not want Sarah to have to wait on us.  We just wanted to be together.
That evening we slept in Sarah's room.    I shot the view  of our car from the upstairs window the following morning.

Sarah's diswasher was not working so we washed dishes -- there were not many.  She said when she got back from Wyoming after the first of the year, she is going to shop for a new refrigerator and dishwasher.  You certainly do deserve it Sarah ... you have worked hard all your life.  And now you need some new conveniences don't you!

This is the childhood photos of Phyllis Jean and Bob on the upstairs bedroom dresser.  And Ken certainly enjoyed the bed and even allowed his puppy, Babe to sleep on his tummy with him.   I think he had had enough driving for a few days.
