ning, April 26, 2009, to arrive in Houston at 10:25. Left Houston at 11:35 for a 3 1/2 hour flight to Newark Liberty airport in New Jersey. My goal was to see New York City from the air, but I missed it. We were due to leave Newark at 7:15 PM. Delays caused us to be more than an hour late and it was dark as we flew
out.We
managed the 8 hour flight from Newark toBarcelona, arriving at
9:15 am the next day, Monday (their time). However, our body clock said it was
3:00 in the morning --- we were tired and uncomfortable, but very excited!
Welcome to a new culture of language, customs, foods, mores, smells and attitudes. Here we are flying into Barcelona, Spain. The plan was to take a train to Salou and check in by 4:00 PM -- but it was more like 5:30 that afternoon when we arrived.
