Four Great Days in Salou

We took a train from the airport to downtown Barcelona and at 3:00 pm boarded another train to Tarragona and on to Salou. It was an hour and half ride. Salou is a vacation city. From the train station, we found a taxi which took us the few blocks to the La Dorado Club Riviera. It looked nothing like the photo book but it is a nice, clean condo and we are so happy to be settled in a place where we can leave our suitcases.
First thing was to take a nap and then then set out on a walking trip to find a food market. For that first evening we ended up forgetting the market and we ate next door at the Hotel Regina Gran. The buffet was very nice and the food interesting. Ken had not eaten all day. We enjoyed the experience. No one there spoke English. When we asked about leaving a gratuity (or was it included in the ticket) they had no idea what we were talking about. The Hotel buffet was 29 Euros.

The view from our Condo is beautiful! A tiny view of the Sea and another beautiful view of the mountains. This is taken on the front balcony.

This is a view of the Club Riviera from the North side as we walked back from a town square. Ken stayed on the sidewalk until I came out on the 6th floor front balcony.
