We loved our days at sea .... meeting new friends, relaxing, observing the beauty of God's creation as well as the luxury of the Ship Summit. Often we would see Fred or Al walking on deck. I loved the fat lady that graced the therapy pool gazing at her ball. She made us older folks feel right at home.
There was time for reading or journaling. We did not sun bath but we did spend a lot of time in the therapy pools.

We were invited to take a tour of the Captains Bridge at 9:15 this morning. It was most interesting. Everything is computerized and one very tiny "joy stick" button controls everything. Two captain assistants were running the ship and while we were on the bridge, everything was set to auto pilot. It was a smooth sea day, no traffic and all was well. We saw photos of the giant propellers that move the Summit along. With 3,000 people on board, these men have a most important job. The ship is self contained with it's own water purification system. Every part of the ship is computerized and organized and under control (we were told.)
