Walking the Streets of Palma de Mallorca

This is Europe's vacation spot. Palma has 300 sunny days a year. The port is so desirable that it is lined with very expensive yachts. Our guide reported that the cost to dock those yachts was 500 Euros per day. That would be about $675 in American dollars a day. There are 420,000 people living in Palma and 800,000 on the island. The island contains 51 villages. Mallorca has 11,000 tourists every year

There are 42 churches and 2 synagogs on this island.

This island has been inhabited since before 400,000 BC.

We drove up to Bellver Castle. Bellver means beautiful view. It is Bellevedair. The castle was built in 1309 by the 2nd King James II.

It took nine years using no tools in the middle ages.

Each stone for the four towers is rounded north / south / east / west.
