The Staff on the Summit

Master Captain Athanasios Peppas, from Greece was the voice we heard daily over the intercom assuring us all was well.
It takes 1,000 staff members to make this ship into a self-contained city. Everything is done on the ship itself from making their own ice cream daily, to painting their own ship constantly, to never ceasing to disinfect everything hands touch in order to prevent an outbreak of sickness. Our stateroom steward worked magic. If we stepped out of our room, when we returned, our bed was made and new towels were already out. He always wore a giant smile.


















The person we saw the most was the Cruise Director, Damian de Lorenzis. Damian was everywhere making sure the guests were properly entertained. He is a Canadian but also lives in Turkey.
Staff Captain, Dimitris Kardasilaris is the one who offered to take a picture with us on the night they brought Anniversary cake.
The food and Beverage Manager, Wolfgang Juranek, from Germany, was also popular and showed his face at dinner time. He is responsible for 9,000 meals a day on the Summit.
