Sidi Bou Said

Sidi Bo Said is an artist's paradise with its blue and white sugar-cube houses scattered across the hillside above the sea. The pretty whitewashed village is set high on a cliff above the gulf of Tunis. It has narrow cobbled streets with old stone steps. Its gleaming walls are dotted with the ornate, curved window grills that are a trademark of the city and they are all painted the same deep blue. The city is plentiful with geraniums and bougainvillea.
