The Relics of the Basilica of Cefalu'

The tower of the Ruggero Basilica of Cefalu' of 1131. In the right-hand Chapel is a fine image of Our Lady and Child holding inHis hand the fruit of Redemption, in the act giving it back to Mary, the new Eve. This was executed in 1533 by Antonello Gagini. In the left-hand Chapel is the silver Altar, where the Holy Eucharist is kept. It was fashioned in 1700 by Palermo silversmiths.
