8:30 in the morning: the drive to Cefalu'.
Cefalu' is a medieval town lined with sandy beaches. It is best known for the town's Duomo, a two-towered Norman cathedral from the 1100th century. Towering above the town is the massive crag called the Rocca. On top are the ruins of the temple of Diana from the 5th century.

The harbour, the alleys and medieval buildings are beautiful and fun to walk.
Cefalu' is pronounced chef-a-loo with the accent on loo.
The island is rich with oranges, lemons, olives, grapes and artichokes. The area is known for its white wines.
After a tour of the Basilica, Ken was ready for a 'snack' a salami and cheese sandwich which he gobbled up with great delight. I spent that
time looking for souvenirs but bought nothing.
